KVN releases ‘Raavana Mavandaa’ glimpse from CM Vijay’s ‘Jana Nayagan’

Chennai (PTI): KVN Productions, the banner backing Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay's 'Jana Nayagan', unveiled a glimpse of the film's track "Raavana Mavandaa" on its YouTube channel on Monday.

Composed by Anirudh Ravichander with lyrics by Vivek, the fast-paced, high-energy number runs for about two minutes and is packed with swagger-filled visuals of Vijay.

The teaser, along with its background score, is built around portraying Vijay as an unstoppable force.

With the film set for release on July 23, bookings have opened.

The film’s journey to certification was marred by significant delays, legal interventions and piracy issues.

'Jana Nayagan', directed by H Vinoth, had initially been scheduled to hit theatres during Pongal this year, but an extended standoff between the producer and the Central Board of Film Certification delayed its release.

Said to be a remake of Anil Ravipudi's National Award-winning 'Bhagavanth Kesari', the film stars Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol, Mamitha Baiju, Prakash Raj, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Priyamani and Narain, among others. But the makers have neither confirmed nor denied the buzz.
