25-year-old rider injured in school bus-bike collision in Kasaragod dies in hospital

Kasaragod: A 25-year-old youngster was grievously injured in an accident at Povval Masthikund near Bovikaanam here on Thursday morning, when a school bus collided with his motorbike and later died in hospital.

The accident victim is identified as S Shammas Abdullah, a resident of Hosahithlu in Galimukha Nettanige.

Abdullah is learned to have been riding his bike from Cherkala to Galimukha when a school bus, which was coming down the road from the opposite direction, hit his two-wheeler at Mastikundu. The rider, who sustained serious injuries, was taken to hospital in Kasaragod immediately, but succumbed to the injuries.

Adhur Police, who reached and inspected the crime scene, have taken further action in the matter.
