70-year-old man from Shivamogga dies after collapsing outside bar in Belthangady

Belthangady: A 70-year-old man from Shivamogga district, who had reportedly been suffering from ill-health for several years, collapsed and died outside a bar near the bus stand at Guruvayanakere in Kuvettu village of Belthangady taluk on Tuesday.

The deceased has been identified as Mariyappa, a resident of Kenchala village in Hosanagara taluk of Shivamogga district.

According to police, Mariyappa collapsed outside the bar in Guruvayanakere on Tuesday morning and died.

Belthangady Police visited the spot after receiving information and identified the deceased during their inquiry. A case has been registered in this regard.
