Bearys Group distributes scholarships to children of employees

Mangaluru: Bearys Group of Institutions organised its Shiksha Suraksha Scholarship Disbursement Programme at the International Seminar Hall of Bearys Institute of Technology (BIT) on Friday, extending educational assistance to the children of employees from lower salary brackets working across its institutions.
Speaking at the programme, Bearys Group Chairman Syed Mohamed Beary said the scholarship initiative was launched more than two decades ago with an initial contribution of ₹1 lakh. Since then, the scheme has grown steadily, with the institution distributing more than ₹1 crore in scholarships to support the education of employees' children.
He said education remains the most valuable investment for families and reiterated the group's commitment to helping staff members provide quality education for their children. The scholarship programme, he added, reflects the institution's focus on employee welfare and social responsibility.
Trustee Mazhar Syed Beary also addressed the gathering and appreciated the continued success of the initiative. He encouraged students and families benefiting from the scheme to make the most of the opportunity and pursue academic excellence.
Scholarships were distributed to the children of staff members working at Bearys Institute of Technology (BIT), BIT Polytechnic, Bearys Enviro-Architecture Design School (BEADS) and Bearys Institute of Emerging Sciences (BIES).
The programme began with a welcome address by Campus Director Dr. Manjur Basha S.I., who welcomed the guests, staff members and beneficiaries.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Aziz Mustafa, Principal of BIES.
Faculty members, non-teaching staff and management representatives were present on the occasion.
