Four members including two kids of Davengere family go missing, death note found at home

Davangere: Four members of a family have gone missing from Banashankari layout in city, with police finding a death note at their rented house.

Contractor Ramesh Kumar (38), his wife Jayasheela (36) and their children Hitesh (9) and Prerana (3) have been missing from their home under the jurisdiction of the Vidyanagar Police Station.

According to the complaint, Ramesh Kumar left home with his wife and children on August 14, saying they were travelling to Bengaluru and would return soon. However, the family did not return even after three days, and their mobile phones were switched off or unreachable.

Concerned about their whereabouts, Ramesh Kumar’s mother, 68-year-old Lalithamma opened the house using a spare key and found the couple’s mobile phones and their car inside.

She also found a death note, which reportedly mentioned financial difficulties and the burden of debt, according to the complaint. Based on Lalithamma’s complaint, the Vidyanagar Police have registered a case and started the investigation.
