Bengaluru: The Karnataka Department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs has extended the deadline for ration card e-KYC verification to November 10 from the earlier deadline of October 20.
According to the department, 1,15,87,298 beneficiaries whose e-KYC was completed more than a year ago must undergo verification again before the revised deadline.
In addition, 3,82,362 beneficiaries who have never completed e-KYC and 54,27,396 beneficiaries whose verification was completed more than five years ago are yet to complete the required process.
All these beneficiaries must complete their e-KYC by November 10, either through the Anna Seve mobile application or at ration shops using the AHARA software. The department has warned that further action will be taken as per the rules against those who fail to complete the process within the stipulated period.
To help Karnataka ration cardholders who have migrated to other states for employment, the department has expanded the availability of the Anna Seve mobile application nationwide from Sunday.
Beneficiaries currently living outside Karnataka can download the application and complete their e-KYC remotely without having to return to the state.
The latest version of the Anna Seve app is available on the Google Play Store. Those who have already installed the application can update it to access the facility.
