Student denied entry to NEET re-exam centre in Koppal after reaching five minutes before exam

Koppal: A student was denied permission to appear for the NEET re-examination at a centre in Koppal on Sunday despite reaching the venue five minutes before the exam was scheduled to begin.
The student, Bibi Fatima, a resident of Gangavathi Nagar, had been allotted the Government First Grade College examination centre in Koppal.
According to examination guidelines, candidates were required to report to the centre by 1.30 pm, while the examination was scheduled to commence at 2 pm.
Family members said Bibi Fatima left for the examination centre on time, but the vehicle she was travelling in developed a mechanical problem on the way. As a result, she reached the centre at around 1.55 pm.
According to reports, police personnel at the entrance allowed her to enter the premises. However, examination authorities refused to permit her to write the test as she had arrived after the stipulated reporting time.
Her parents alleged that she repeatedly requested officials to allow her to take the examination, explaining the circumstances that caused the delay.
They said she informed the authorities that the question papers would be distributed only after the scheduled start time and that she had reached the centre before the examination began. Despite her appeals, she was not allowed to enter the examination hall, they alleged.
