Two minors arrested for murder of 13-year-old boy in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: HAL police have arrested two minors in connection with the murder of a 13-year-old boy whose body was found near Vibhutipura Lake.

According to the police, the murder was allegedly triggered by a petty dispute that occurred about a month ago. An argument had broken out between the victim, his brother and one of the accused after a two-wheeler was blocked. The accused allegedly held a grudge over the incident and repeatedly picked fights with the boy.

On the evening of October 4, when the boy was near Vibhutipura Lake, the two minors allegedly attacked him after lying in wait for him, police said.

The boy collapsed following the assault. The accused then allegedly dropped a large stone on his face, killing him, before fleeing the scene.

The boy’s body was discovered early the following morning, following which HAL police registered a case and launched an investigation.

After investigating the incident, police arrested the two minors. They are currently being interrogated in connection with the case.
